\## Executive Summary

The research presents OmniBrain-0, an innovative robotic agent designed to enhance the performance and reliability of embodied intelligence in various tasks. This agent aims to effectively coordinate skills related to both manipulation and navigation, addressing the need for robots to manage complex tasks over extended periods while also being able to track progress and recover from failures.

Traditional approaches often rely on specialist policies, which can be insufficient for ensuring reliability at the task level. In contrast, multimodal agents, while powerful, tend to demand significant resources for reasoning and experience that simpler models may not replicate effectively. OmniBrain-0 seeks to bridge this gap by integrating multiple capabilities into a single, streamlined framework that optimizes decision-making processes.

The researchers employed a progressive training framework to develop OmniBrain-0. This includes three main components: embodied pretraining, domain-specialized agent distillation, and a method called multi-teacher on-policy distillation (MOPD). Through this approach, the agent learns from the experiences of more advanced "teacher" models in both manipulation and navigation, consolidating their decision-making abilities into a unified system. This means that instead of merely integrating tools at a surface level, the unification occurs within the core decision model of the agent.

Another key innovation introduced is Rubric-Guided Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI). This system allows a Meta-Agent to convert execution evidence into improved guidelines and verified task pathways. This iterative process enables the agent to refine its operation continuously, enhancing its effectiveness in real-world applications. The refined guidelines are then reintegrated into OmniBrain-0 using MOPD, further strengthening its capabilities.

The evaluation of OmniBrain-0 included tests on various platforms such as LIBERO-Pro, LIBERO-Plus, RoboCasa365, RoboTwin 2.0, and R2R-CE Val-Unseen, alongside multiple real-world manipulation tasks. Results indicate that OmniBrain-0 not only performs well across different domains but also does so with significantly reduced computational overhead compared to its more complex teacher models. This efficiency makes it a practical option for enterprises looking to implement advanced robotic solutions with lower operational costs.

In summary, OmniBrain-0 represents a significant advancement in robotic intelligence by combining essential skills into a single agent capable of adapting and learning from its experiences. Its development could pave the way for more reliable and efficient robotic systems in various industries, although the results primarily derive from benchmark tests and simulations rather than extensive real-world deployments.

\## Academic Abstract

General-purpose embodied intelligence requires robots to coordinate diverse skills over long horizons, track task progress, and recover from failures. Specialist policies alone do not ensure task-level reliability, while powerful multimodal agents rely on costly reasoning and external experience that compact models struggle to reproduce. We introduce OmniBrain-0, a lightweight unified embodied agent that coordinates manipulation and navigation through a shared high-level decision model, integrating task understanding, planning, progress tracking, and feedback-driven recovery. Our progressive training framework combines embodied pretraining, domain-specialized agent distillation, and multi-teacher on-policy distillation (MOPD). It distills powerful teachers' interaction experience into manipulation and navigation experts, then consolidates their decision capabilities into OmniBrain-0. Unification therefore occurs within the learned decision model rather than only at the tool interface. We further introduce Rubric-Guided Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI), a data flywheel in which a Meta-Agent turns execution evidence into refined rubrics, step-level reminders, and verified trajectories for domain-expert updates before their reconsolidation into OmniBrain-0 through MOPD. We evaluate OmniBrain-0 on LIBERO-Pro, LIBERO-Plus, RoboCasa365, RoboTwin 2.0, and R2R-CE Val-Unseen, as well as multiple real-world manipulation tasks. OmniBrain-0 combines strong cross-domain task performance with substantially lower inference and execution overhead than its closed-source teacher, demonstrating efficient transfer and consolidation of embodied capabilities into a compact unified agent.
